Clinical Instructor - Medical Surgical

Overview

This role involves serving as a Nursing Faculty member responsible for guiding and mentoring nursing students, fostering their academic and clinical development, and contributing to curriculum improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor, role model, and support students academically and clinically.
• Deliver engaging instruction using various teaching methodologies to achieve learning outcomes.
• Participate in curriculum assessment, continuous improvement, and shared governance activities.
• Maintain scholarly activities and engage in professional growth.
• Utilize innovative technologies, including simulation labs, to enhance learning.
• If involved in clinical teaching, oversee student performance, clarify expectations, and ensure patient safety through assessment and feedback.

Qualifications & Skills

• Master's degree in nursing and valid professional nurse licensure.
• Minimum of two years of recent clinical nursing experience and at least one year in the teaching field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and online learning management systems.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards, including state and federal laws and nursing board requirements.
