Overview
This role involves serving as a Nursing Faculty member responsible for guiding and mentoring nursing students, fostering their academic and clinical development, and contributing to curriculum improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor, role model, and support students academically and clinically.
- Deliver engaging instruction using various teaching methodologies to achieve learning outcomes.
- Participate in curriculum assessment, continuous improvement, and shared governance activities.
- Maintain scholarly activities and engage in professional growth.
- Utilize innovative technologies, including simulation labs, to enhance learning.
- If involved in clinical teaching, oversee student performance, clarify expectations, and ensure patient safety through assessment and feedback.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master's degree in nursing and valid professional nurse licensure.
- Minimum of two years of recent clinical nursing experience and at least one year in the teaching field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and online learning management systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards, including state and federal laws and nursing board requirements.
