Clinical Instructor

About the role

Jersey College is seeking Registered Nurse Instructors to join our dedicated team of educators. We are committed to providing high-quality clinical instruction at various healthcare settings to support the academic and professional growth of our students.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute care facilities.
• Create a supportive and engaging clinical environment that fosters students' academic growth and professional development.
• Prepare and submit student progress reports and grade reports.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance records.
• Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
• Implement evaluation devices to measure student learning and clinical experience.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in professional development activities.
• Maintain professional qualifications as a Registered Nurse Instructor through ongoing education and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Current valid State RN license.
• Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Organized and able to prioritize workflow effectively.
• Ability to supervise students in the clinical setting.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in the area of nursing specialty.
• Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse that contributes to student learning.

• Ability to deliver effective lessons on the level of an RN or PN student.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in the area of nursing specialty.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workflow.
• Ability to supervise students in the clinical environment.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in the area of nursing specialty.
• Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse that will contribute to student learning.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

The schedule for this position is flexible and will be determined based on the needs of the program and the individual's qualifications.
