Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Train patients and families to perform in-home dialysis safely and effectively, providing support during transition to self-care.
- Affiliate in dialysis procedures, equipment maintenance, water treatment, vascular access monitoring, and specimen collection.
- Participate in quality improvement activities to uphold patient care standards.
- Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team under RN supervision to meet patient needs.
Qualifications & Skills
- A high school diploma or equivalent; certification or experience in patient care or dialysis technician training.
- A current Basic Life Support certification; valid driver’s license.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; computer proficiency; adaptable to changing situations.
- Prior to CHT certification and prior experience are preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Successful completion of color blindness test.
- The ability to work independently and flexible hours.
- Participation in continuing education and certification exams as required.
