Clinical Hemodialysis Technician - Training and Support

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Train patients and families to perform in-home dialysis safely and effectively, providing support during transition to self-care.
• Affiliate in dialysis procedures, equipment maintenance, water treatment, vascular access monitoring, and specimen collection.
• Participate in quality improvement activities to uphold patient care standards.
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team under RN supervision to meet patient needs.

Qualifications & Skills

• A high school diploma or equivalent; certification or experience in patient care or dialysis technician training.
• A current Basic Life Support certification; valid driver’s license.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; computer proficiency; adaptable to changing situations.
• Prior to CHT certification and prior experience are preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Successful completion of color blindness test.
• The ability to work independently and flexible hours.
• Participation in continuing education and certification exams as required.
