Clinical Field Specialist
About the role
Drive revenue growth and market expansion through direct engagement with individual Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialists (MFMs), OB/GYNs, and Genetic Counselors in the Atlanta South, Decatur, and Columbus territories. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships, developing and executing strategic business plans, and accelerating revenue growth. The Clinical Field Specialist (CFS) will support both established and newly launched products, providing clinical expertise, educational support, and hands-on training in technical product applications.
This role works with Protected Health Information (PHI) on a regular basis, both in paper and electronic form, and has access to various technologies to manage PHI. Employees must complete HIPAA/PHI privacy training, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training, and security training within the first 30 days of hire. Additionally, employees must maintain current status on all Natera training requirements.
Responsibilities
- Increase revenue and drive market development through direct sales to individual MFMs, OB/GYNs, and Genetic Counselors.
- Execute effective prospecting, cultivate and maintain key relationships.
- Create and implement a strategic business plan to grow revenue quickly in the assigned geography.
- Focus sales efforts on currently marketed products and new product launches.
- Play a critical role in the success of the organization through consultative sales, logistical coordination, and problem-solving.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Science, Nursing, or a related healthcare discipline.
- Minimum of three years of physician sales experience in the diagnostic laboratory industry, ideally within genetics.
- Strong background in medical or biological sciences, with experience in clinical diagnostics a plus.
- Deep understanding of the OB/GYN and MFM markets, with proven success selling into these specialties.
- Demonstrated success launching new products and driving rapid revenue growth in new markets.
- Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Gmail, and Salesforce.com.

Pay
On-target earnings (OTE) range from $165,000—$190,000 USD, which includes a competitive base salary and uncapped quarterly commissions. The compensation package also features a car allowance and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). OTE represents the total potential income an employee can earn by achieving 100% of their performance goals, combining base salary with commissions.
