About the role

The School of Medical Imaging and Radiologic Sciences at Boise State University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month faculty position in Radiologic Sciences. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator or clinical imaging technologist to transition into higher education and contribute to the preparation of the next generation of medical imaging professionals. The successful candidate will serve in a clinical faculty role, with primary responsibilities focused on teaching and supporting students in diagnostic radiology and related medical imaging disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching assignments may include classroom instruction, laboratory experiences, clinical coordination, and student evaluation, depending on program needs, individual expertise, and rank.
  • Contribute to program accreditation support, curriculum development, assessment activities, and service to the School and University.

Requirements

  • Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required for appointment at the Clinical Instructor rank; master’s degree or higher required for appointment at the Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate rank.
  • Current ARRT RT(R) credential.
  • Demonstrated competence in a clinical practice area of diagnostic radiology.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as an ARRT-registered radiographer.

Preferred qualifications

  • Prior teaching experience in a JRCERT accredited program.
  • Three years academic teaching experience (undergraduate and/or graduate level).
  • Additional ARRT credentials (or equivalent) in Magnetic Resonance, Echocardiography, Computed Tomography, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Vascular Intervention, Cardiac Intervention, or other medical imaging disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher preferred for appointment at the Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate rank.

Skills

Faculty members are expected to maintain current ARRT certification (or equivalent), demonstrate competence in medical imaging practice, and engage in ongoing professional development.

Benefits

Salary commensurate with rank and experience. Our standard faculty contract is a 9-month contract (unless otherwise noted) with pay and benefits spread over 12 months. This is a yearly, renewable contract.
