About the role

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a full-time Clinical Faculty member to support the Global Health concentration within the Master of Public Health program.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 30 credit hours annually in standardized, predeveloped online graduate public health courses.
  • Apply instructional practices and strategies that engage adult learners while following approved course design, learning outcomes, and required instructional materials.
  • Conduct appropriate learner outreach and support students who may need additional engagement or clarification of course concepts.
  • Participate in academic review and assessment of MPH Applied Practice Experiences, including review of practicum plans, applied practice products, competency documentation, and development of practice-based or service-learning opportunities.
  • Support identification of practice sites, practice topics, and community engaged learning opportunities in collaboration with program leadership and operational partners.
  • Participate in program events, graduation activities, professional development, and other academic activities that support the MPH program.
  • Apply global health knowledge through case-based learning, current examples, research informed practice, and professional experience.
  • Emphasize ethical, equitable, culturally responsive, and community informed approaches to global public health across diverse populations and settings.
  • Support student understanding of global disease burden, health systems, ethical global partnerships, environmental and social determinants of health, health disparities, and culturally responsive public health practice.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in public health or a related discipline from a CEPH accredited school or program, with education and professional experience appropriate to graduate level public health teaching.
  • Demonstrated expertise in global or international public health and applied public health practice.
  • At least three years of professional public health practice experience.
  • At least three years of teaching experience, including experience in an online or technology mediated learning environment.
  • Experience with competency-based education, curriculum assessment, Applied Practice Experiences, Integrative Learning Experiences, internships, capstones, or other graduate public health practice-based learning.
  • Experience with CEPH accreditation, curriculum mapping, program assessment, or accreditation related work.
  • Experience mentoring graduate students, supporting applied practice or capstone projects, or supervising field based public health learning.
  • Experience working with diverse communities, public health organizations, or cross-cultural partners.

Qualifications

  • Master of Public Health or other graduate public health degree from a CEPH accredited school or program.
  • Doctoral concentration, research focus, or substantial professional practice in global health, international health, public health practice, health equity, humanitarian health, or a related area.
  • Experience teaching in an online graduate public health program.
  • Certified in Public Health (CPH) or another relevant professional credential.

Pay

The annual pay range for this position is $70,729.00 - $113,188.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $78,155.00 - $105,739.00.
