About the role

This position serves as primary support to clinical and operational leadership in monitoring and evaluating processes for outcomes management, performance improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. Develops and coordinates components of Sutter Health's Clinical Effectiveness and Performance Improvement (PI) Program. Facilitates clinical improvement activities utilizing PI methodologies and serves as a resource to assist and train others on performance improvement methodologies and evidence-based patient safety and quality initiatives. Provides all levels of management, physicians, and clinical staff with accurate and timely information for effective decision-making utilizing internal and external decision support systems.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate processes for outcomes management, performance improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and coordinate components of the Clinical Effectiveness and Performance Improvement (PI) Program.
  • Facilitate clinical improvement activities using PI methodologies.
  • Serve as a resource and trainer for performance improvement methodologies and evidence-based patient safety and quality initiatives.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to management, physicians, and clinical staff for decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Public Health, Nursing, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field (equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree).
  • RN-Registered Nurse of California license or MD-Medical Doctor license.
  • CPHQ certification preferred.
  • 5 years of recent relevant experience.

Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), including formatting tables, retrieving data via queries, and creating presentations.
  • Ability to navigate an electronic health record.
  • In-depth knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of personalities and departments, including medical staff.
  • Ability to manage own time, schedule tasks, and work effectively without constant supervision.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and High Reliability Platform (HRP).

Pay

Pay range is $95.11 to $133.15 per hour. The compensation range may vary based on geographic location, candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program.
