Job Summary
The clinical educator for diabetes is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and evaluating the education program for both inpatient and outpatient diabetics.

Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate education programs for inpatient and outpatient diabetics.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient education.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about diabetes management, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Assess patient learning needs and adjust educational strategies accordingly.
- Provide ongoing support and resources to patients and their families post-education.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Current Florida RN license.
- Experience in diabetes education or related healthcare field preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of diabetes pathophysiology, treatment, and management.
- Understanding of health literacy principles and effective teaching methods.
- Experience working with diverse populations and cultural sensitivity.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
