Clinical Educator Emergency Dept
About the Role
The Clinical Educator works in a collaborative environment at Holy Cross Health within the Emergency Department, Short-term Observation, and the float pool to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care. This position focuses on treating the whole person physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without work visa or sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Using the Quality Caring Model, demonstrates acceptable performance and applies the nursing process to plan and manage care of routine patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.
- Leads, delegates, and serves as a mentor to others on the team.
- Provides formal and informal education for nurses and other health professionals/students.
- Oversees Float Pool nurses and CNAs, short-stay observation nurses, and supports ED nurses and techs.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program; MSN or actively enrolled in an MSN program.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State.
- Certifications aligned with area of responsibility preferred.
