Responsibilities

• Provide educational services for clinical and patient care areas to align with the Hospital’s objectives, mission, and values.
• Support corporate-wide programs, policies, and procedures to assess, evaluate, and meet patient needs.
• Develop and implement education plans for training in all clinical settings.
• Deliver hands-on training for clinical staff to support the hospital’s educational goals.
• Implement an ongoing training program to measure, assess, and improve the quality of care, treatment, and services.
• Collaborate with Nursing Directors to provide educational services to staff.
• Own and facilitate specific nursing education programs, including:
  • IV class (6-hour session) – 6 times per year.
  • EKG/Phlebotomy class for PCAs (2-hour session) – 2 times per month.
• Round on units when on-site (1-2 hours per shift).
• Assist in competency skills nursing fairs (4 times per year: 2 full 8-hour days and 2 half 4-hour days).
• Support orientation sessions twice a month (typically the 1st and 3rd weeks).
• Provide shift coverage and operational support as needed.

Requirements

• Current and valid State-issued Registered Nurse license.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained thereafter.
• Minimum of 5 years of acute care experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of previous educational experience preferred.

Schedule

Per Diem position with an average of 20 hours per week.
