Summary Of Position
With oversight from the Clinical Nurse Education Manager, develops clinical education and competency validation for all clinical staff. Remains current with best/evidence-based practice standards for Ambulatory Care to ensure policy/procedure development and maintenance for adherence to standards. Collaborates with various disciplines within Kintegra, medical providers, behavioral health providers, to incorporate clinical processes focused on the patient population served. Perform direct patient care services in support of developed curricula to demonstrate, teach and coach clinical staff.
Experience
- Experience with staff development and training.
- Three years of management and/or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Pediatric experience is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops/Updates Clinical Policy and Procedures to remain consistent with best practice standards.
- Develops clinical competency education, conducts competency evaluation in SIMS and within clinics.
- Maintains compliance for all Kintegra Sites for response to code blue, develops scenarios, and conducts competency evaluation by various, biannually.
- Affirm Relias (learning management system) evaluating/reviewing modules for annual competency, new hire required competencies based upon discipline, and implements additional training, as needed.
- Plans, designs, and implements ongoing staff development education.
- Supports clinical staff in the clinic as needed.
- Manage education request via the internal ticket system JIRA.
- Maintain communication among Practice Managers/clinical staff to promote understanding of clinical practice.
- Attend required meetings to monitor clinical education needs, development, or remediation within clinical practice.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
