Clinical Education Coordinator
Responsibilities
This position serves as a strategic leader in hospital-wide nursing professional development, with primary responsibility for supporting and advancing clinical education across their assigned entity. Grounded in the ANPD Nursing Professional Development (NPD) model, this role champions lifelong learning, evidence-based practice, and competency development to enhance patient care and clinical outcomes.
In collaboration with the entity Chief Nursing Officer and under the direction of the System Director of Clinical Education, the Coordinator mentors and guides unit-based educators, ensuring their efforts align with organizational goals, evidence-based practices, and professional development standards.
The coordinator facilitates, supports, and evaluates the effectiveness of unit-based education through coaching, collaboration, and oversight. The coordinator fosters interprofessional collaboration, guides change initiatives, supports role transitions, and ensures that educational strategies are driven by data and organizational needs.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing Required, Masters Degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, or related field Preferred
- Work Experience: 5 years of nursing experience in a hospital (inpatient roles) or clinical (outpatient roles) setting Required
- Demonstrated experience in nursing education, staff development, or clinical leadership Preferred
- Licenses and Certifications: RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Upon Hire Required, NPD - Nursing Professional Development (NPC-BC) through ANCC within 2 Yrs Required, Member of ANPD Required, Advanced certification in field of specialty Preferred
