Responsibilities

As a Clinical Research Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of people, from patients to care teams, enabling you to be a part of the legacy that puts the needs of the patients first. You will independently coordinate complex clinical research protocols with minimal direction from the principal investigator and/or supervisor in compliance with regulatory laws and institutional guidelines.

You will collaborate with research team to assess feasibility and management of research protocols, screen, enroll, and recruit research participants, coordinate schedules and monitor research activities and subject participation, identify, review, and report adverse events, protocol deviations, and other unanticipated problems appropriately, manage, monitor, and report research data to maintain quality and compliance, provide education/training for others within the department, perform administrative and regulatory duties related to the study as appropriate, participate in other protocol development activities and other assignments as assigned, and actively partner with team members by fostering an inclusive work environment and respecting others with different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.

Qualifications

  • Must meet one of the following:
    • HS Diploma with at least 5 years of clinical research coordination/related experience
    • Associate's degree/college Diploma/Certificate Program with at least 3 years of experience
    • Associate's in Clinical Research from an accredited academic institution without experience
    • Bachelor's with at least 1 year of experience or completion of a Mayo Clinic-sponsored clinical research internship in lieu of 1 year of experience.
  • Experience should be in the clinical setting or related experience.
  • Additional Qualifications: Graduate or diploma from a study coordinator training program is preferred. One year of clinical research experience is preferred. Medical terminology course is preferred.

Schedule

Mainly standard business hours, but could vary based on the position offered. Weekend Schedule typically, Monday - Friday, with the possibility of weekends, depending on the study.
