Responsibilities

• Serves as a critical component of leadership, ensuring strict compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks while empowering clinical teams.
• Develops patient care standards, orientation, and continuing education.
• Evaluates staff performance in accordance with organizational policies.
• Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care.
• Participates in the strategic planning process of the designated department.
• Analyzes systems and operations to facilitate recommendations for change and improvement.
• Facilitates operational excellence in patient services and across the designated departments.
• Maintains compliance with all applicable policies, laws, and regulations.

Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience in an acute care or post-acute setting.
• A minimum of two (2) years of nursing leadership experience.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse required for APN leadership role.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certified Nurse Practitioner in the state of New Jersey required for APN leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is strongly preferred.
• Patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC.
• Masters prepared in Nursing from an accredited program preferred.
