About the role

NHS Lothian is seeking a visionary and experienced GP or Medical Consultant to lead clinical transformation across integrated health and social care services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and planning of clinical services across MHSCP.
• Ensure safe, effective, and high-quality care through strong clinical governance.
• Manage and support clinical staff including Consultants, GPs, and the Lead Pharmacist.
• Drive service transformation to address health inequalities and improve patient experience.
• Represent MHSCP in regional forums and contribute to NHS Lothian-wide planning.
• Provide clinical leadership to the Integration Joint Board (IJB), if nominated.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have:

• Proven experience in leading clinical services.
• Strong clinical governance skills.
• Experience managing and supporting clinical staff.
• A proven track record in driving service transformation.
• Experience representing organizations in regional forums.
• Experience providing clinical leadership to the Integration Joint Board (IJB).

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant medical qualification and be registered with the General Medical Council (GMC).

Pay

The salary for this post is £80,000 - £90,000 per annum.
