About the Role

A CBI Clinical Director is a licensed behavioral health professional responsible for providing clinical supervision to both licensed and non-licensed clinical staff in accordance with the Arizona Administrative Code. The role ensures clinical staff are familiar with Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) and CBI Clinical Policy and Procedure. The Clinical Director delivers required clinical trainings during New Employee Orientation (NEO) and periodically throughout the year, collaborates with the Director of Crisis Services to develop needs-based trainings, and conducts ongoing research to identify and implement EBPs across CBI’s system of care.

The Clinical Director performs fidelity audits to ensure adherence to approved EBPs, conducts scheduled and unscheduled clinical consultations, and provides guidance during on-call shifts. They work directly with the Director of Crisis Services and Clinical Operations team to ensure clinical programming meets patient, community, and regulatory needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision to licensed and non-licensed clinical staff in accordance with Arizona Administrative Code.
• Ensure clinical staff are trained in and maintain fidelity to Evidence-Based Practices and CBI Clinical Policy and Procedure.
• Deliver clinical trainings during New Employee Orientation and periodically throughout the year.
• Collaborate with the Director of Crisis Services to develop and implement clinical trainings based on identified needs.
• Conduct ongoing research to identify and implement Evidence-Based Practices within each level of care at CBI.
• Perform periodic fidelity audits to ensure clinical staff adherence to approved EBPs.
• Conduct scheduled clinical staffings and unscheduled consultations, including during on-call shifts, to provide guidance and direction.
• Work with the Director of Crisis Services and Clinical Operations team to ensure clinical programming is effective, efficient, and compliant with CBI policies, state, federal, and contractual requirements.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a field related to behavioral health.
• Licensure at the Associate or Independent level with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as a Psychologist, Social Worker, Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Substance Abuse Counselor.
• Courtesy Clinical Supervisor Continuing Education Review Letter from the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, current for each renewal period.
• Fingerprint clearance card.
• Current Arizona Driver’s License.
• Clear 39-month motor vehicle record.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of full-time behavioral health care work experience with exposure to behavioral and medical crisis situations.
