About the Role

A Clinical Director, Health Center, plans, directs and coordinates the operations of a clinical student health program located at various city school clinics. This role involves directing the activities of nursing, health, and medical support staff at health clinics. Work is performed primarily in an office with minimal physical exertion and follows a conventional workweek.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate a large multi-school-based comprehensive student health program.
• Develop clinical protocols, evaluate programs, and interpret policies and procedures.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, health department officials, students, and their parents.
• Develop in-service training sessions and programs for staff.
• Prepare complex narrative and statistical reports.
• Oversee nursing, health, and medical support staff in a multi-site health center program.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in public health or nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Five years of experience as a nurse practitioner in a health center, including one year of supervisory experience in a multi-site health center program or comparable clinical program.
• Licensure as a registered nurse and certification as a pediatric or family Nurse Practitioner in Maryland at the time of appointment.
