Clinical Director - Emergency Department

About the role

The Emergency Department at Exeter Hospital cares for a diverse patient population with a wide range of medical needs. With annual volumes of approximately 33,000 patients, the department is one of the busiest in the Seacoast area.

Responsibilities

• Provides ethically based mission-driven leadership in area of assigned responsibility.
• Maintains and models positive working relationships based upon mutual respect; trust; and compassion.
• Fosters cooperation and collaboration in the workplace.
• Holds staff accountable for productive and constructive co-worker relations and interdepartmental teamwork.
• Empowers employees to respond to service needs and issues for all patients; families; and other customers of the organization.
• Develops work plans with objectives; action steps; and measurable outcomes.
• Monitors performance indicators and makes real time strategic and operational adjustments.
• Communicates business expectations and operating results with staff.

Requirements

• Nursing Unit Oversight: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required or combination of Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Nursing.
• Other Clinical Areas: Minimum entry level degree for clinical area with preference for a Bachelor's degree (or higher).
• 7-10 years related experience.
