Job Summary and Qualifications

• Identify patients at nutritional risk through the screening process.
• Provide nutrition assessment, diet/nutrition education appropriate for age, disease state throughout the hospital including specialized areas.
• Completes and documents nutrition diagnosis for all areas using the Nutrition Care Process.
• Uses evidenced based practice guidelines and clinical judgment in formulation of all nutrition care plans.
• Makes sure to monitor and evaluate individual patient nutrition outcomes related to nutrition diagnosis, goals, and interventions in all areas.
• Participates as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team in hospitalist, adult/pediatric/neonatal ICU rounds prepared to communicate nutrition expertise with all appropriate healthcare providers.
• Performs nutrition-focused physical exams when warranted.
• Writes neonate formula recipes, parenteral nutrition, and enteral nutrition orders per consult or protocol.
• Acts as preceptor for dietetic interns.
• Comply with The Joint Commission and other regulatory agency standards.

Qualifications

• (RD/RDN) Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist(RD-STATE) Registered Dietitian - State
• Bachelor’s degree
• 1+ Years of experience in a healthcare setting
• PREFERRED: Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) is a full-service hospital with 318+ patient beds. Our hospital is the largest medical facility in the region. We serve southeast Idaho, western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park, and parts of Montana. Our facility has an ER, a Level II Trauma Center, a Level 1 ICU (one of two in Idaho), and the only Burn Center in the state of Idaho. We have the region’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for critically ill children. Our 74-bed Behavioral Health Center offers inpatient and outpatient mental health care for adolescents and adults.
