About the role
As a Clinical Dietitian, you will provide expert nutrition care, developing and implementing individualized plans to improve patient health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Performs nutritional assessment using age and gender appropriate standards, cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds; and utilizing validated assessment tools resulting in nutrition-related diagnosis when indicated.
- Collaborates within an interdisciplinary environment to contribute to facilitating care and identifying patients at nutrition risk or needing higher levels of care.
- Implements targeted and specific nutrition intervention(s).
- Provides customized nutrition education to patients and/or families and caregivers.
- Works within an interdisciplinary environment to contribute toward overall patient care.
- Closely monitors, evaluates and rescreens patient nutrition status as appropriate. Updates plan of care as necessary. Follow up with patients as needed.
- Develops an intervention plan which includes appropriate feeding route, mode, and nutrition prescription unique to patient's specific needs, in accordance with physicians' orders.
- Maintains communication with patients, staff, and guests and provides excellent customer service.
- Participates in peer reviews and chart audits, and collaborates in Diet Manual Handbook training for all clinical staff (new registered dietitians, nurses, therapists, physicians, etc.).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in dietetics from an accredited program (ACEND).
- Registered Dietitian (RD), Registered Dietitian (RDN), Registered Dietitian (RDN-ADA), or Registered Dietitian (RDN-CDR) within 90 days of hire.
- Dietitian license in Texas within 90 days of hire.
Qualifications
- Experience in clinical nutrition.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of dietary guidelines and nutrition principles.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.

Pay
The posted compensation range of $26.06 - $38.76 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
Schedule
80 hours per week, Monday through Friday, normal working hours.
