About the role

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation seeks a Nutrition Therapist to provide comprehensive nutrition care and education to patients across the region. This role involves coordinating with medical providers, managing special diets, and preparing the annual budget.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition care and education to in-patients and out-patients
• Coordinate with medical providers for medically high-risk clients
• Follow up with WIC clients upon admission and discharge
• Assist the Food Service Department with special diets
• Prepare the annual budget in alignment with the corporation's financial goals

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Foods & Nutrition
• Master’s degree desirable
• Two years of clinical or community nutrition experience
• ADA registration and state of Alaska licensure
• Computer and weighing scale proficiency
• Thorough knowledge of nutrition and diet therapy
• Basic computer skills and software applications
• Resourceful and supportive to other members of the care team
