Clinical Dietician - Per Diem

Hourly pay range: $28.47 - $42.71. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

About the Role

Per diem position with hours scheduled based on department needs at Elmhurst and Edward Hospital locations in Elmhurst, IL and Naperville, IL. Schedule includes Monday-Friday, 8am - 4:30pm with Saturday coverage every 6 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops consumer nutrition, health, and wellness education programs and/or services targeting current user groups and data collection of risk indicators.
• Identifies and develops evaluation criteria for assessing effectiveness of these programs.
• Performs nutritional, health, and wellness screening and assessment.
• Manages ongoing nutritional care plans based upon the developmental needs of each patient-member.
• Prepares and completes patient-member records and documentation support according to licensure guidelines.
• Contributes to the nutrition-specific education/in-service training of patients, professional staff, colleagues, support staff, and students when required.
• Provides appropriate documentation that summarizes the nutrition care plan in the patient’s medical record, including nutritional assessment, diagnosis plan, implementation, and progress toward needs.
• Demonstrates accountability for the proper use of patient’s protected health information.
• Utilizes patient scheduling and monitors/maintains patient records through electronic medical records.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Nutrition, required.
• Completion of required nutrition and dietetic coursework through ACEND-Accredited didactic program or coordinated program in dietetics.
• Completion of an ACEND-accredited supervised practice through a dietetic internship, individualized supervised practice pathway, or a coordinated program in nutrition and dietetics.
• Current State of Illinois Dietitian Nutritionist licensure (LDN) within 90 days of start date.
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential (RDN).
• Minimum of one year of clinical dietitian experience, preferred.
