Clinical Development Specialist, Cardiac PCU

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the development and implementation of education and training programs.
  • Enhances, promotes, and maintains high standards of staff professional growth in providing quality patient care.
  • Serves as a role model of excellence in nursing knowledge and clinical practice.
  • Administers staff development programs through needs assessment and implements education and training programs for clinical staff.
  • Functions in a leadership role as a clinical expert.
  • Maintains unit-specific quality, accreditation, and clinical competency programs.
  • Provides staff instruction on the collection of data.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of clinical guidelines.
  • Serves as a resource to departmental and other hospital staff.

Requirements

  • Required Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
  • Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
  • Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
  • PREFERRED: Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
