What You Can Expect
This role plays an integral part in improving diagnostic abilities, driving clinical advancements, and optimizing imaging workflow and performance for end-users!
Responsibilities
- Building relationships with clinician application leaders in alignment with company targets and objectives
- Traveling (as needed) to observe on-site workflows and gain insight into clinician outcome requirements
- Evaluating workflow and visualization goals for targeted applications
- Performing clinical research to help understand design requirements
- Helping define clinical requirements related to the realization process
- Collaborating with product/realization teams and performing validation tests to ensure products are safe, effective, and appropriate for user needs
- Creating and maintaining related documents, plans, research reports, studies, and more
- Education users on technology, trends, workflows, and best practices
- Gathering, analyzing, and presenting data from studies and evaluations
- Supporting product education initiatives to ensure seamless adoption and utilization
Clinical Development Specialist Criteria
- Completion of a 3-year program in diagnostic medical sonography or ultrasound technology
- Completion of a 2- to 3-year program in a related allied health field AND a 1 year post-diploma program in diagnostic medical sonography from an accredited institution
- All of the following ARDMS (or equivalent) certifications:
- ARDMS (or equivalent) certification in abdomen
- Two additional active general imaging or vascular credentials
- 5+ years of related experience operating ultrasound equipment in a clinical or medical setting
- 2+ years of direct experience in R&D ultrasound image optimization and system development for general imaging applications (abdominal, small parts, vascular, pediatrics, etc.)
- Clinical ultrasound teaching experience
- Commercial ultrasound system installation experience
- Proficient English communication skills
