Clinical Development Director, Early Development - Cardiometabolic/General Medicine

This role supports clinical priorities focused on quality, patient-centered outcomes, and effective care delivery. You will collaborate with clinical leaders, operational teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve standards, workflows, and execution in a life sciences environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement early clinical development strategies for cardiometabolic therapeutic candidates
  • Prepare clinical development plans, study protocols, and regulatory submissions
  • Review and evaluate clinical safety and efficacy data
  • Strategize the use of clinical biomarkers to enhance drug development
  • Collaborate with internal teams across Precision Medicine, Research, and Regulatory functions
  • Evaluate external licensing or partnership opportunities
  • Provide biomedical expertise to early development teams

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • 2 years of industry or academic research experience
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, or Endocrinology (preferred)
  • 3+ years in drug development, particularly early stage clinical trials
  • Strong understanding of cardiometabolic pathophysiology
  • Experience in clinical trial design and interpretation
  • Proven leadership in a collaborative team environment

Pay

$274,788 – $371,773 annually
