Clinical Data Coordinator: Neuroscience Administration
Responsibilities
- Collects data, conducts analyses, and collaborates with team members on department priorities.
- Identifies and benchmarks performance metrics using internal/external databases and resolves data discrepancies.
- Serves as a liaison between departments, external organizations, and leadership to facilitate service, clinical, and cost initiatives through cross-functional teams.
- Provides statistical analysis and interpretation of clinical and qualitative data for quality improvement initiatives.
- Supports the Magnet Re-Designation process for Nursing Education, including survey and writing processes, and develops metric tracking solutions.
- Supports operational functions, regulatory requirements, efficiency, and quality improvements for Neurosciences Administration to enhance patient outcomes.
- Ensures compliance with timelines set by regulatory and certifying bodies and data registries.
- Manages scheduling, coding, and charging for exams at the Breast Care & Imaging Center; reconciles systems such as MagView and Epic, and maintains the Charge Master.
- Develops key quality indicators, success metrics, revenue cycle support, contract negotiations, RFP creation and scoring, A3, business plan, and Pro forma development for the Laboratory.
- Facilitates interdisciplinary meetings, process improvement projects, lean initiatives, and staff development.
- Supports the Sepsis Program in operational functions, regulatory requirements, efficiency, and quality to improve sepsis patient outcomes.
- Monitors ongoing analysis of project effectiveness, identifies root causes of problems, and provides practical solutions.
- Supports the SURFS application for operational functions, regulatory requirements, efficiency, and quality to improve safety across the Hoag Enterprise.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in regulatory registry data gathering and entry with general office and administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Experience and/or training with healthcare information systems and terminology.
- Knowledge of applications in one of the functional areas (e.g., scheduling, clinical orders, revenue cycle).
- Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Qlikview, EPIC, MIDAS, Chartmaxx, or NHSN preferred.
