Responsibilities

  • Organizes and administers individualized, age-specific nursing care across Radiology with a primary focus on Interventional Radiology (IR) and IV Access
  • Ensures timely completion of IR exams and IV access procedures
  • Validates appropriateness criteria for vascular access
  • Maintains billing and work queues
  • Provides direct oversight of the IV Access Team
  • Collaborates with the IR Manager to oversee work queues, run safety huddles, coordinate schedules, and provide backup leadership
  • Affirms safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence-based practice by maintaining a realization of own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others of the patient care team by communication with and utilizing resource persons and programs available
  • Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors
  • Affirms knowledge of the patient population served
  • Supervises and directs the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members
  • Collaborates with other patient care providers
  • Consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement
  • Utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient’s needs

Requirements

  • ADN
  • Minimum 1 year prior RN experience in Radiology or procedural setting
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent customer service skills

Preferred

  • BSN
  • Interventional radiology experience
  • Critical care experience
  • Vascular access experience
  • PICC midline placement competency strongly preferred

Qualifications

  • Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement
  • BLS from the American Heart Association
  • IV Therapy Venipuncture certification within 90 days is required
  • ACLS preferred

Pay

$110,150.29 - $143,195.38 per year
