About the Role
The Charge Nurse supports patient care, staff supervision, and clinical operations within a dialysis facility.
Responsibilities
- Providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to direct care staff.
- Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Participating in staffing, scheduling, and disciplinary actions.
- Monitoring patient care, administering medications, and responding to emergencies.
- Collaborating with the care team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Training staff, maintaining documentation, and overseeing equipment safety.
- Promoting a safe environment adhering to OSHA standards.
- Leading patient education and supervising dialysis procedures.
- Participating in quality assurance and special projects.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) with licensure in the applicable state.
- Minimum 12 months of nursing experience, with 6 months in dialysis care.
- CPR certification.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- Preferably with medical/surgical and supervisory experience.
