Clinical Consultant Solution Deployment (Pacific West)
About the role
The Implementation Clinical Consultant demonstrates extensive knowledge of clinical operations, products, and services, providing clinical leadership to BD customers during the implementation of interoperability and connectivity products. This role supports Project Managers to ensure timely and productive implementations and collaborates with hospital clinicians and EMR vendors to develop policies, workflows, and protocols. The consultant also provides HL7 message interpretation, system assessments, and recommendations to maximize the benefits of BD solutions.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate conference calls and customer meetings for BD Medication Systems Infusion product implementations in small to medium hospital systems.
- Establish long-term business relationships with customers and provide team support and product information as assigned.
- Mentor team members to ensure product and process competency.
- Manage customer teams, gain consensus, and deliver concise communication.
- Guide site assessments, project design, and implementation of BD Medication Systems Infusion products.
- Provide feedback for continuous improvement of implementation methodology, tools, and services.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of clinical workflows, hospital data sets, drug library builds, system integration, and interface validation.
- Interact with cross-functional teams in large hospital systems and small/medium IDNs.
- Implement sophisticated projects aligned with company and customer objectives.
- Aid customers in improving business operations, including standardization across hospital systems.
- Troubleshoot and consult on clinical workflows and process considerations.
- Install and support BD Medication Systems Infusion hardware and software solutions.
- Influence customer acceptance and utilization of BD products in multi-site environments.
- Act as a customer support resource when necessary.
Requirements
- Nursing degree and current active nursing license.
- 4-6 years of experience in a healthcare-related field, with acute care hospital experience preferred (nursing informatics or leadership experience highly desired).
- Pediatric, NICU, and Oncology experience highly desired.
- Specific knowledge of BD business highly desired.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 75-100% (overnight travel required).
- Flexible working hours, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to work independently from a home office.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs (position may involve pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, and lifting).
- Proof of immunizations required upon hire, including Hepatitis B, Influenza (current year), MMR, Varicella, annual TB/PPD, and Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis.
- For most roles, a minimum of 4 days of in-office presence per week is required (remote/field-based roles may vary).
- Employment contingent upon proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (testing may be required in some locations).

Pay
Salary range: $91,500.00 - $146,300.00 USD annually.
Schedule
- Home-based position with 75-100% travel (overnight travel required).
- Flexible working hours, including nights and weekends.
- Minimum of 4 days in-office per week for most roles (varies for remote/field-based positions).
