Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to the RN Team Leader, the Clinical Clerk is responsible for accurate prescription refills, prior authorizations for medications as well as effective communication with staff and providers.
  • Ensuring all requests for prescription refills are handled in a timely and efficient manner, including requests from patients via phone and portal as well as requests from pharmacies.
  • Processing all prior authorizations for medications sent from pharmacies, providers or insurance companies within 3 days of receipt of the request.
  • Researching insurance carrier requirements and gathering necessary information for completion.

Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant or equivalent medical office experience including medical terminology.
  • Knowledge and skills necessary to work in ambulatory healthcare setting.

Pay

Pay Range: $18.58 To $26.47 Hourly

Schedule

Hours: 40 hours, Monday-Friday generally between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. Hours may vary depending on department needs. Exact schedule to be discussed at time of interview.
