About the role
The Clinical Charge Nurse (Weekend Dayshift) leads nursing operations supporting patients, families, and staff during critical recovery journeys on our Complex Medical Unit (Unit 4), which focuses on Stroke and Neuro patients.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate expertise in complex clinical nursing skills with the rehabilitation population served.
- Participate in the evaluation of unit-based activities, holding staff accountable for rounding, bedside handoff, use of white boards, and timely response to call lights.
- Mentor staff, including new orientees, and serve as a role model for the team.
- Maintain cooperative and professional relationships among all members of the healthcare and program model teams by communicating information clearly and responding to requests openly.
- Focus on providing customer satisfaction to patients, co-workers, visitors, vendors, and physicians.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an RN or related position.
- Current Indiana State Board of Nursing Licensure and Registration.
- CRRN certification required.
- ACLS preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
Schedule
- Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Monday: 8–12-hour shift (either 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
