Responsibilities
- Review and audit clinical documentation and charge capture processes to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement for healthcare services.
- Collaborate with clinical staff, coding professionals, and revenue cycle teams to identify discrepancies, educate staff, and promote best practices for charge capture and documentation.
- Act as a subject matter expert in clinical care, charge integrity, and compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.
Requirements
- At minimum an Associates’ degree in a clinical field of study, ex: Nursing, Respiratory, Radiology, Lab, etc required.
- Candidates must hold at least one active clinical license or certification in good standing.
- Knowledge of healthcare billing and practices, coding systems (ICD-10, CPT), and payor regulations.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience and 2 years in revenue integrity, charge capture, coding, or auditing.
Qualifications
- Nursing: RN, BSN, LPN, LVN, Imaging/Radiology: ARRT (R), ARRT ,CT, MR, VI/CI, ARDMS- Respiratory Therapy: RRT, CRT- Laboratory: MLS(ASCP), MT(ASCP), MLT(ASCP)- Therapies: PT/DPT, PTA; OT, COTA; CCC-SL
