Provides direct pastoral care to patients, families and staff; manages pastoral care in various clinical areas; provides rotate institutional back-up pastoral care 24/7; designs pastoral care programs for specific patients/clients/organization and provides pastoral consultation in interdisciplinary patient care. Employed by STATE (UNC Medical Center) within the Pastoral Care organization unit. This is a State position with UNC Health benefits; if you are currently an employee of another North Carolina agency participating in TSERS or the ORP, you may continue those plans at UNC Health. Located in Chapel Hill, NC. Full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a resource or consultation for staff, CPE residents and interns about patient (client) problems, and assists in utilizing institutional and/or community resources in meeting patient (client), family, and staff needs.
- Collaborates with other departments or agencies serving the specific needs of the client population.
- Attends meetings as assigned such as the Ethics Committee, CQI, Palliative Care, CISM, and diversity education.
