About the role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and welcoming team member to provide clerical support in one of our outpatient centers. In this role, you’ll be an important part of the day-to-day experience for patients, visitors, and clinical staff. You’ll help keep the center running smoothly by managing schedules, supporting patient interactions, and handling important administrative tasks. What You’ll Do
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner
- Answer phone calls, respond to routine questions, and direct inquiries as needed
- Schedule and coordinate appointments to support clinic operations
- Record and transcribe physician orders accurately
- Support the co-pay collection process and related administrative tasks
- Maintain organized records while ensuring patient confidentiality
- Work closely with clinical and administrative team members to support daily operations
- Participate in team activities and help contribute to a positive, collaborative environment
Qualifications
Clinical Center Associate II
- Required Education and Experience:
- A medical office assistant associate’s degree and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology
- An associate’s degree and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology
- A high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma, completion of an Roswell Park-approved Medical Assistant certificate program and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology
- A high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology
- A high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in customer service and successful completion of a Clinical Center Associate traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park)
