Clinical Caseworker/Licensed Social Worker

About the role

The Missouri Veterans Home is seeking Clinical Caseworkers or Licensed Social Workers to provide support and services to Veterans.

Responsibilities

• Provide medically related social services for Veterans to achieve their highest physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
• Identify and address the individual needs and preferences of Veterans, including their customary routines, concerns, and choices.
• Maintain contact with families to report on the Veteran's health and planning.
• Make referrals and obtain services from outside entities.
• Aid in and make referrals for financial and legal matters.
• Support appropriate discharge planning.
• Offer or arrange for counseling services, participate in behavior management and crisis intervention and planning.
• Introduce Veterans and their families to the Home, providing information and tours.
• Conduct complete assessments on Veterans' social, environmental, and economic backgrounds to assist medical and other professionals with diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment planning.
• Supervise and direct the Social Services team when the Director is absent.

Qualifications

• Clinical Caseworker: Four years of work experience as a social work or human services professional in a healthcare setting or a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Knowledge of individual, family, and group behavior, available community resources, medical and treatment records, progress notes, and related information.
• Senior Clinical Caseworker: Six years of work experience as a social work or human services professional in a healthcare setting or a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Demonstrated knowledge of the above.
• Licensed Senior Clinical Caseworker: Possession of a current license to practice as a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Missouri. A licensed Bachelor Social Worker earns $46,966.56, a licensed Master's or Advanced Macro Social Worker earns $61,214.64, and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker earns $67,454.64.

Pay

$46,966.56 - $67,454.64 based on experience and licensure.
