About the role

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Clinical Care Technician for our Float Pool in our New Brunswick facility. A Float Pool CCT is deployed to different departments throughout the New Brunswick Campus as needed, assisting with patient care tasks. Must be adaptable and skilled in providing high-quality care across various clinical settings while maintaining effective communication with patients and colleagues.

A Day in the Life of a Clinical Care Tech (Video)

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide nursing care, including taking vital signs, EKGs, and performing phlebotomy.
• Provide bedside care such as bathing, mouth care, and skin care.
• Deliver patient care based on physical, educational, safety, and age-appropriate criteria for the patients in assigned service.
• Ensure effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment, and critical actions.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding the status of patient care.
• Participate in collaboration on the patient's plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.

Schedule

• Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, 40 hours per week (5 shifts per week).
• Includes every other weekend and some holidays.

Pay

The anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $20.11 - $28.67 per hour if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
