Responsibilities
- Coordinator will be expected to cross train to all areas of cell therapy
- Provide quality care to patients, families, and donors preparing for bone marrow transplant
- Work as a nurse member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team
- Provide functional supervision of clerical staff
- Provide clinical direction and support for the Bone Marrow Transplant team through consultation with nursing and other team members
- Provide continuity and coordination for the Bone Marrow Transplant population in the inpatient and ambulatory care settings
- Cook up and participate in the development and implementation of patient and nursing education programs and materials relating to Bone Marrow Transplant
- Work with all cell therapy patients in an ambulatory care setting

- Demonstrated accountability and dependability including a good attendance record with punctuality
- Demonstrated adaptability to changing needs and priorities based on unit, department, and institutional goals/objectives
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills providing patient and family education and coaching
- Proficiency with typing and electronic health record documentation
- Ability to manage complex clinical issues utilizing assessment skills, protocols, and evidence-based interventions
- Willingness to adapt to different populations adult medicine as patient demands
- Demonstrated accountability and dependability for example, completion of work, mandatories, goal setting within established timelines
- Excellent interpersonal (including phone) skills with physicians, peers, and patients as demonstrated by previous employment, references, and evaluations are a must
- Demonstrated ability to organize and delegate effectively and efficiently
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other team members
Qualifications
- Current nursing license to practice nursing in the State of Michigan
- Bachelors degree in Nursing OR Associates degree/diploma in Nursing along with a Masters degree in Nursing
- Two (2) years of Bone Marrow Transplant and/or Acute Leukemia (Heme/Onc) RN experience within the last fifteen (15) years
Desired Qualifications
- Nurse Coordinator experience, prefer one (1) year in past three (3) years
- Lead nurse or charge nurse experience. prefer six (6) months in past three (3) years
- Proven leadership ability as evidenced by previous employment and references
- Demonstrated ability to set goals, promote teamwork and problem solve as demonstrated by previous performance evaluations
- Experience with MICHART, EPIC, Cisco Finesse, WORD and Excel
- OCN or BMTCN certified
Pay
Hourly range for RSAM Registered Nurses (12+ months experience): $43.10 - $67.03 / hour
Schedule
Day Shift, Monday-Friday. Flexible hours to meet program needs. May require weekends and holidays
