About the Role
What if your deep expertise in clinical analytics could directly shape how AI understands and reasons about healthcare data? We're looking for an experienced Clinical Business Intelligence Manager to lead BI teams, architect data solutions, and help build AI systems that reflect the real complexity of clinical and operational healthcare environments. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for senior professionals who know how to turn messy healthcare data into trusted, decision-ready insights — and who want to apply that expertise to one of the most consequential technology challenges of our time.
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a business intelligence team in designing and delivering dashboards, reports, and analytics that support clinical and operational decision-making
- Maintain and optimize BI infrastructure — including data models, SQL queries, and reporting pipelines — ensuring accuracy, reliability, and performance at scale
- Analyze clinical, operational, and performance datasets to surface meaningful trends and actionable insights for leadership
- Translate complex healthcare data into clear, trusted outputs that connect directly to patient outcomes and organizational efficiency
- Apply your domain expertise to evaluate and improve AI-generated content, outputs, and reasoning related to clinical analytics and healthcare data systems
Requirements
- Experienced in healthcare or clinical analytics, business intelligence, or healthcare data management
- Proven track record designing and managing BI systems — dashboards, reporting pipelines, and data models — in complex environments
- Comfortable working with clinical, operational, and administrative datasets in regulated healthcare settings
- Strong communicator who can bridge technical depth and leadership clarity
- Self-directed and reliable when working independently in an asynchronous environment
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assurance, or AI evaluation workflows
- Familiarity with large language models or AI training processes
- Background working across both clinical and IT functions in a healthcare organization
- Experience with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar BI platforms
Benefits
- Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs and AI teams
- Fully remote and flexible — structure your hours around your life
- Freelance autonomy with the substance of genuinely meaningful, high-impact work
- Gain rare exposure to how advanced AI models are trained and evaluated in specialized domains
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
