About the role

The Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at Oklahoma State University is seeking a Large Animal Emergency & After-Hours Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor.

Responsibilities

  • Support to house officers
  • Supervision of veterinary students
  • Technical staff in the examination and management of after-hours emergencies and hospitalized large animal patients
  • After-hours emergency caseload is approximately 65% food animal and 35% equine

Requirements

  • D.V.M. or comparable veterinary degree (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses: Must be licensed, or eligible for licensure, to practice veterinary medicine in Oklahoma

Qualifications

  • Expectation of excellent communication skills
  • Diplomates of the ACVS, ACVIM, ACVECC, ABVP, their European equivalents, or those who have completed a large animal residency training program are preferred
