Clinical Associate-Team Lead Fri - Mon 6:45A - 5:15P

Responsibilities

• Communicates pertinent information regarding individual patients and the milieu itself to the clinical treatment team, Clinical Coordinator, and Director as needed;
• Communicates urgent patient, milieu and emergency information to the Nursing Shift Supervisor, as well as to Coordinator and/or Director, including the Leadership Team as appropriate;
• Manages staffing for Clinical Associates for the assigned area, including coverage for absences, notifying the Clinical Coordinator and/or Director of any serious or recurring issues.
• Delegates assignments to Clinical Associates based on patient and program needs.
• Orients and trains new Clinical Associates regarding department policies and procedures, as well as the use of relevant technology, including the electronic patient record and time management systems.
• Works with the Nursing Shift Supervisor to resolve crises with individual patients and/or within the community in a manner that provides therapeutic value.
• Carrries out all of the specific job responsibilities of a Clinical Associate (see related job description).

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required with a Bachelor’s degree preferred;
• One (1) year experience in addictions treatment preferred;
• CPRS certification is preferred but not required;
• A valid Tennessee Driver’s License preferred (may use company van to transport patients);
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft (Outlook, Word and Excel);
• Ability to quickly learn and use various clinical software;
• Ability to problem-solve, analyze, and interpret information;
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and patient needs in a fast-paced environment;
• Ability to analyze complex situations and make crucial decisions while also knowing when consultation is needed;
• Ability to be open and culturally sensitive to a wide variety of patients’ experiences;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively speak, read and write in English;
• Ability to interact with patients and co-workers in a collaborative and courteous manner while providing guidance, instruction, and/or training;
• Ability to model/teach the 12 Step programs and philosophy.

Qualifications

• If recovering, two years of verifiable abstinence required;
• Active participation in a twelve-step program preferred.
