How You'll Help

Transform Healthcare by providing basic clinical services to patients and clerical support to the unit health-care team. This includes:

• Welcome and assist patients and visitors with registration.
• Aid with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Coordinate patient flow using department/unit specific software and Intranet.
• Schedule patient therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
• Review medical records for outstanding orders and notify nurses of stat orders and medication changes.
• Clean unit-based equipment and gather supplies as needed.
• Transport patients, supplies, and equipment within the facility.
• Perform unit-based patient care tasks for patients.
• Participate in the sitter process.
• Interact with patients, visitors, physicians, and other health professionals.
• Answer incoming calls via telephone and patient call system.
• Routinely take messages and route calls as needed.
• Support department/unit staff scheduling, including back-up coverage.
• Operate and maintain general office equipment.
• Order department/unit supplies and equipment and stock/organize supplies.
• Serve as a resource for department/unit software systems.
• Maintain cleanliness of waiting and break rooms and perform safety/environmental rounds.
• Absorb and comply with regulatory requirements in the unit.

What We Require

• Education: High school graduate or GED.
• Experience: None required.
• Licensure, certification, and/or registration: None required, except for the following in the Critical Access Area:
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification is required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal, communication, and team-working skills.
• Organized and self-motivated.
• Knowledge of office procedures and equipment.

Compensation
