Clinical Associate II/III

About the role

Clinical Associate II/III on the Fairbanks Partial Hospitalization Program team, a multi-disciplinary group serving children ages 9–17 and adults with acute behavioral health needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct group skill-development sessions covering emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, interpersonal skills, problem-solving, and coping strategies.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to assess client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide support and assistance to clients during program activities.
• Document client progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
• Participate in daily and weekly team meetings and conduct safety plans.
• Support clients in crisis situations and assist with de-escalation techniques as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a human-services field such as social work, psychology, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a mental health setting preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a diverse team of professionals.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of clients and the program.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, client-centered care.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
