About the role
The Clinical Assistant provides patient care in the clinic and related administrative duties. This is a part-time, .75 FTE position working out of our Burnsville location.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, stock, and clean exam rooms
- Patients and prepare for exams
- Maintain an efficient, organized clinical flow
- Gather and verify pertinent patient information; compile patient medical data
- Absorb and enter patient information into electronic health records system
- Support providers with injections, dressing changes, and durable medical equipment applications/removals
- Ensure coding requirements are followed during entry of patient information
- Enter medical orders (e.g. medications, lab services, imaging studies, and other auxiliary services) into the CPOE system under the direct supervision of the provider
- May assist with patient care services, medical supply inventory and ordering, screening patient calls, and documenting phone messages
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Athletic Trainer (AT-C), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA); or equivalent experience
- Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments
Qualifications

- Prompt and reliable attendance
- Efficient and productive work pace, handling interruptions appropriately, meeting deadlines

- Logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Skills
- Physical abilities to lift up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents
- Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly
- Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer)

- Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience
- $1,500 sign-on bonus for select roles, payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment
