3 East is a 27-bed surgical progressive unit. We take vascular, trauma, ortho, and GI surgical patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care assignments as delegated by and under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Clerical/manage supplies/equipment in designated care areas.
• Provide care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy.
• Document in electronic medical record.
• Act as a receptionist and organize daily work assignment based on unit priorities.
• Organize daily work assignments based on unit priorities.
• Actively participate in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and complete all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Orientation

This position requires a full week of corporate orientation. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm. You will be required to attend the entire week consecutively.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Completion of nursing assistant program and/or one year of nursing assistant experience
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required
• Current CNA certification preferred
