Clinical Assistant Professor (HS), Family Medicine

About the role

The Department of Family Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor (HS).

Responsibilities

• Provide 6-sessions weekly (3-days) of direct patient care at our Empire location and provide teaching and supervision of residents and medical students 4-sessions (2-days) a week, while participating in the department's inpatient service.
• Contribute to the growth and revenue of Family and Community Medicine at Empire with a goal to increase visit volume to 15,000.
• As a clinician, be dedicated to clinical care that will increase UHD's patient volume, patient panels, access and revenue.
• Supervise resident and medical student clinical care, and provide direct patient care, which will give our patients the option of seeing a physician outside of the teaching physician setting.
• Help to maintain our quality metrics, value based revenue programs and improve patient experience and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• New York State DO/MD Licensure.
• DO/MD Medical Degree.
• Board certified or Board eligible by American Board of Family Medicine or American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.
• Ongoing clinical activities.
