Responsibilities
- Properly prepares the examination and treatment areas per clinic standards.
- Completes patient rooming procedures, including vital signs, data collection, and other components specific to the clinic setting within outlined Scope of Responsibilities.
- Assists with Point of Care laboratory testing following successful competency training.
- Ensures documentation in the patient record is accurate, clear, and concise within outlined Scope of Responsibilities.
- Completes all assigned clerical activities and supply maintenance/ordering as directed.
- Assists with scheduling follow-up care as ordered/directed.
- Functions within the documented Monument Health Scope of Responsibilities.
- In some clinic locations, may assist the medical imaging department to perform limited x-ray exams following successful competency training.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Professional Certification (American Heart Association) within 60 days of hire or transfer. (Note: Some departments may require BLS certification sooner.)
- Ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent in General Studies.
- 80 hours of initial training in radiation safety, positioning, and image review.
- Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification from the South Dakota Board of Nursing.
Physical Requirements
- Heavy work: exerting up to 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or up to 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or up to 100 pounds of force occasionally (up to 33% of the time).
- Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, or tissues.
Pay
Starting pay rate range: $16.52 - $19.00 (determined by the knowledge, skills, and experience of the applicant).
