About the role

In addition to the standard Clinical Assistant responsibilities, this position supports Otolaryngology (ENT) physicians in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role focuses on enhancing patient flow, supporting provider efficiency, and contributing to high-quality patient care within a specialty setting. This position is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on clinical experience, including U.S. or international medical graduates preparing for residency, licensure, or advanced training.

Responsibilities

• Aid with patient examinations or treatments.
• May perform scribe functions by documenting all provider/patient interactions in the medical record under the supervision and responsibility of a licensed clinician.
• Observe and report patients' signs or symptoms.
• Participate in performance improvement projects.
• Participate as an active care team member in the coordination of patient care.
• Provide a standard of excellence as it relates to customer service for patients, staff members, and other customers.
• Assist with test scoring.
• Assist with report documentation.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in medicine or an allied health field, or intent to pursue a career in healthcare.
• Experience: 1 year of clerical or customer service experience (healthcare preferred).
• Computer skills: Experience with data entry and patient information systems.
• Certification/Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at time of hire.
