Medical Assistant - Outpatient Clinics ENT - Full time
The Outpatient Clinics department at Aspen Valley Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant.
About the role
The Medical Assistant works 8-hour shifts, with potential for night and weekend shift differentials up to $10 per hour. The position offers a competitive compensation range of $22.16 - $35.46 per hour, with final compensation determined by qualifications including experience, education, and certifications.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (obtainable upon hire)
- Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Current, unrestricted certification or licensure as an EMT in Colorado, or ability to obtain (preferred)
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Responsibilities
Under the direction of physician and nursing staff, the Medical Assistant provides clinical care to patients. Duties include:
- Completing and accurate registration of patients
- Completion of consent for treatment forms
- Obtaining insurance information
- Scanning and charging responsibilities, including collection of payment at time of service as appropriate
- Exceptional customer service, answering phones, maintaining office supplies, and assisting with daily clinic operations
- Communicating and coordinating information in a knowledgeable and courteous manner with staff, patients, and families
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum qualifications: BLS certification, current EMT certification or ability to obtain, and bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
Skills
While not required, preferred skills include:
- Medical Assistant certification
- Spanish language proficiency
