Major/Essential Functions

• Promote, assess, and evaluate educational needs and requirements specific to job discipline.
• Aid licensed health care providers in collecting data to determine the physical, mental, and cultural, ethnic and social needs and preferences of patients and their families.
• Report data, identify and report alterations in patient responses to assist in the identification of problems and formulation of goals/outcomes and patient-centered plans of care in collaboration with families, and the disciplinary health care team.
• Communicate patient data using EMR to support decision-making to improve patient care.
• Participate in emergency preparedness drills.
• Attend all nursing staff meetings.
• Completes annual nursing core competency training and skills, ensuring you are taking accurate vitals and patient assessments.
• Absorb exams, procedures and documents in EMR per departmental policy.
• Prepare necessary equipment and instruments for examinations, treatments, and procedures as directed, refilling inventory as needed.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an approved certified program for assistants in the area of required specialty.
• Certification by an approved accredited certifying agency in the specialty in which the particular work will be performed.

Pay
