About the role

As a Clinical Assistant at Monument Health, you will be an essential team member providing compassionate, patient-focused care. You will work collaboratively under supervision and independently to deliver direct and indirect patient care in a clinic setting. Responsibilities

• Properly prepare examination and treatment areas per clinic standards.
• Complete patient rooming procedures, including vital signs, data collection, and other clinic-specific components within the outlined Scope of Responsibilities.
• Assist with Point of Care laboratory testing following successful competency training.
• Ensure accurate, clear, and concise documentation in the patient record within the outlined Scope of Responsibilities.
• Complete assigned clerical activities and supply maintenance/ordering as directed.
• Assist with scheduling follow-up care as ordered or directed.
• Function within the documented Monument Health Scope of Responsibilities.
• In some clinic locations, assist the medical imaging department to perform limited x-ray exams following successful competency training.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Professional Certification (American Heart Association) within 60 days of hire or transfer. (Note: Some departments may require certification sooner.)
• Preferred: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent in General Studies.
• Preferred: 80 hours of initial training in radiation safety, positioning, and image review.
• Preferred: Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification from the South Dakota Board of Nursing.

Schedule

• Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
• Requires the ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department.

Pay

Starting pay rate range: $16.52 - $19.00 per hour, determined by the knowledge, skills, and experience of the applicant.

Physical Requirements

• Heavy work: exerting up to 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), up to 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and up to 100 pounds of force occasionally (up to 33% of the time).
• Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, or tissues.
